In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day to take it easy and look forward to the weekend. I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! This excerpt (I'll let you fill in the blanks) is from an email that crossed my SPAM file this week, but it got me thinking.

...and the major (liberal) media—are all working in overdrive to destroy and smear...

I was taught that the media's primary responsibility was to report both sides truthfully and unbiased in order that we, the people are presented with ALL the facts in order that we can make an informed decision?

So, this weeks question is:

Do you believe that the media is unbiased
towards the candidates in the upcoming election?

NO! And unfortunately not in any other area either. I believe the media is bought and paid for.

I believe that very few in the media are good enough at their job to make themselves truly unbiased. The nice thing is that a lot of people are able to see through it. Unfortunately others do not and that is quite dangerous.

Have a nice weekend.

Nope! They should be, but they aren't, not sure if they ever will be.

No!

It is unfortunate because they state that they are but we can tell which station or newscaster supports which candidate.

Absolutely not. Charles Gibson was very smarmy and condescending with he interviewed Sarah Palin last night.
The media has the power to put whom they desire into any elected office by what they choose to report.

good question. sadly, no. part of it is that journalists are human and their own personal feelings get in the way and the other part is the agencies themselves usually have their own agenda.
