Tamy - I read unclutterer.com every day and have been slowly decluttering for a few years now.

A friend and I often start a phone conversation with - What did you throw out today?

My goodness it's a slow and ongoing process. :)

I'm terrified at the thought of moving. We have TOO MUCH JUNK!!!

Good list! We moved in 2006 & the hardest part was finding all kinds of crap we didn't even know we had. We had 3 piles; to keep, to donate, to throw away. Do I even have to tell you which 2 piles kept growing & growing?

I hate moving my washer, dryer, stove, fridge and big freezer! They are way too heavy but needed.

I hate moving! I dread the day that my step-daughters and son will have to pack up their rooms because they have so much clutter(and I'm sure I'll have to help them). I've been decluttering a lot of my own stuff since last month. It doesn't pay to be a pack rat.

Not even your Tupperware? It's so light and most of it can stack into each other.

Number 5 and number 13, the books and paintings would move with me anywhere I go. To many of them are autographed and to many of the paintings are orginals. That being said I've bought a house and am never moving again...

Happy TT
Mine's up as well at http://betweentheticks.blogspot.com

My brother-in-law and his family have moved across the country twice and to and from Hawaii once. They learned VERY quickly to sell everything before each move. I keep saying I'm getting rid of our piano before we move anywhere, even across the street--I hate hills and stairs! :)

Hi, Tamy.

The de-cluttering encouragement is great, but . . . I just have to keep the books and the paintings!

Happy Thursday 13. :)
