It's a picnic waiting to happen

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would participate and take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

What is your favorite picnic food?

Anything I am not responsible to bring! You laugh, but then maybe not ... you know the toddler I deal with these days. In the days B.E. (before Emi) I loved bringing pasta and fruit salads.

Cheers, Kiy

That would have to be Watergate Salad! It's super simple to make. One tub of Cool Whip (I use the fat free kind), about half a bag of mini marshmallows, one box of instant pistachio pudding, and a can of crushed pineapple (somewhat drained). Mix together and serve cold. Very yummy!
BTW, it's always good to hear from a fellow cemetery-enthusiast!
My husband and I have a separate website for cemeteries and other historical places at ohioexploration.com.

Kentucky Fried Chicken. It is the only time I allow myself to eat the stuff. I think it was over 3 years ago!

I love picnics!! I love the broccoli salad (that tastes kind of like cole slaw but made with broccoli instead of cabbage) or BBQ Lays chips. I know, not good for me but I love those (even when I'm not on a picnic!)

I have to go with the pretty burnt hotdog :o)

Potato salad! Nobody else in my family likes it, so I don't get it very often, but I love it when I do. :)

Absolute favorite would be fruit salad. After that possibly a tuna macaroni salad.

I like bleu cheese with honey on sourdough (or maybe fig jam with manchego cheese), some fruit (perhaps a pear) and a nice bottle of wine.
