I am not sure I agree with #9, simply because lately I have had some of my not-so-old extracts evaporate!! Great list, though...very useful.

Very timely for me, I was just cleaning up my spice shelf yesterday and I had to throw most of them :( This is great, thanks!

ahh, this is useful stuff. I keep a list of what we buy and when, so I know when to replace it. There's a local place near me and it's REALLY cheap. Love love love my spice place.

Ruh roh! Looks like I'll be tossing half of my spices.

Great list. Happy T13!

Whole and ground have the same shelf life? Live and learn.

I was sooooo surprised at some of them too! I wonder if I check with a different spice company if the results would be the same.

Great list! I have had to chuck many a spice jar in my life... but the "regulars" like cinnamon and curry I seem to run out of all the time!

This is a great list! I think it's time to go through my spices and see what needs to be tossed!

Good to know! I usually toss mine within a year... so it's nice to find out I'm actually ahead of the game on most. Happy TT!

The one that surprises me is the baking soda. I'm impressed - especially since it comes in a cardboard box!
Great list-
Thank you!

Good to know. Perhaps I should only buy spices in bulk if I use them alot and get smaller portions for the ones I do not use all that often.

Wishing you a scent-sational TT!

There's a link at one of the spice companies where you can input the info on the label and it'll tell you when it was made and if it's still good. I went thru all my spices that way LOL!
