My first poppy of the Season and maybe an Iris soon
The long wait for spring flowers almost makes you forget to look as we creep towards summer which is literally right around the corner. My first poppy bloomed today and hopefully in the next day or two I'll have an iris too!
Pretty flower! I don't have a flower garden. Wish I did, but it'd have to be in the back and there's too much sun. What flowers do well in direct sun? And can they still be planted?

There used to be poppies in the back yard, but they don't grow anymore :(
There are about a trillion more ready to pop open - well I may have exxagerated just a bit, but at least dozens!
